Alonzo (born 2003) has a baritone voice and diverse range of musical interests from jazz standards to synth-wave. Like many of his generation, his musical interests are wide and influenced by the gaming culture.
In 2021, Alonzo recorded his first album ‘Giant Baby Steps’, produced by Winfrid Leonard. On this album Alonzo was accompanied by pianist Nial Djuliarso and his sextet. On September 2022, the album was nominated in the category of ‘Best Jazz Album’ by the AMI Awards (Indonesia Music Awards).
On July 2022, Alonzo released his first original single called ‘Bersama Dirimu.’ The song was produced by Winfrid Leonard. The composer is Nial Djuliarso and lyrics is written by Mari Kartika. On October 2023, the English version of this song called ‘Strollin’ Down the Avenue’ was released.
He has solo concerts under the name ‘Tap Into the Swing with Alonzo Brata’ at places such as Soehanna Hall and Motion Blue. Alonzo also headline shows in various venues such as St. Regis Hotel, Avenue of the Stars, Artoz, Grand Hyatt and Sarinah. He also performed at Java Jazz, Nayasta Jazz Festival and Solo City Jazz. His songs have been played at Grand Indonesia, PT KAI trains and commuter lines and airports in Indonesia.
He has performed with well-known artists such as Oele Pattiselano, Margie Segers, Sandhy Sondoro, Nial Djuliarso, Nita Aartsen and Barry Likumahuwa. He has also performed at various Jazz Clubs in Germany.
Alonzo also sang the jingle for the 2023 UNIQLO Flannel Campaign ad for Indonesia.
